What is FWD?

No. FWD is a non-commercial, experimental network, independent of traditional telecom.
Does FWD support 911?
No. Keep a mobile phone or landline for emergency calls.
What do I need to join?
A phone, a computer, and a standard calling app.
How do I join?
Create your account, verify your identity, get your number, and connect your device.
Why verify identity?
To create trust. A verified network means the voice on the other end is real.
Why HD voice?
Clearer, more natural conversations — voice closer to the way it was spoken.
Will every call be HD?
No. Both sides must support AMR-WB, and the call path must preserve it end-to-end.
What devices work with FWD?
Any standard SIP phone, ATA, or softphone. No proprietary hardware.
Where do I configure my SIP device?
In Settings after login. You'll find your SIP credentials, server details, and codec guidance.
